Bids have been submitted for the Okanagan Correctional Centre P3 project. The concession comprises a contract to design, build and operate a prison in British Columbia, Canada.
The facility, consisting of 378 cells split between 11 living units, is projected to be completed in August 2016. The 36,000 acre site will be leased by the Government of British Columbia from the Osoyoos Indian Band.
Preferred bidder is expected to be announced in the 1st quarter of 2014, with financial close to follow soon after.
Operis carried out a model audit in support of the bid by the BC Community Partners consortium, consisting of InfraRed Capital and Bouygues Building Canada.
