Bids were submitted on 26 October 2012 to build and operate the East End Bridge of the Ohio River Bridges Project. The East End Bridge is part of a new 6.5 mile (10.5 km) highway that will connect I-265 in Indiana to I-265 in Kentucky. It is estimated that the new East End Bridge will serve 52,000 vehicles per day by 2030 and significantly shorten the time and cost needed to ship US products through the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville.
Operis carried out the audit of the financial model, prepared by Scotiabank, for the WVB East End Partners consortium, comprising Vinci, Bilfinger Berger and Walsh Investors. The procuring authority is the Indiana Finance Authority, who are expected to announce a preferred bidder by 20 November 2012.
