A consortium comprised of Balfour Beatty and Equitix has submitted it’s bid for the London Array Offshore Transmission Link.
The London Array is expected to become the world’s largest offshore windfarm, with a maximum capacity of 1000MW and located 17.77 miles off the Kent coast. As a joint policy initiative between DECC and Ofgem, the offshore transmission links are competitively tendered in order to encourage cost-effective investment in the network links between the offshore wind farms and the mainland grid. The preferred bidder chosen will be contracted to operate the connection to the mainland grid for the next 20 years.
Operis provided financial model auditing services as well as tax & accounting review for Balfour Beatty and Equitix.
