The consortium of Carillion Private Finance and Kajima Partnerships today submitted its bid for the Courts PPP Bundle in Ireland.
The project involves the design, build (or refurbishment) and ongoing maintenance of 7 courthouses at sites throughout Ireland. The project will help to deliver improvements leading to reduced waiting times and reduced costs of litigation. Also, the improvements in court buildings in city and county town locations around Ireland will allow the rationalisation of court sittings and help to achieve efficiencies in delivering services through the use of improved facilities and technology.
In its role as financial advisor to Carillion Kajima, Operis advised the consortium in developing the financial structure of the project and preparing a financial model and financial checklist to support the bid.
Carillion Kajima is competing with three other bidders for the concession, with a preferred bidder expected to be announced in May 2015.
