Bids were submitted for the E18 Hamina-Vaalimaa PPP Project on February 9, 2015.
The project involves the construction and maintenance of a new 32km motorway between Hamina and Vaalimaa in Finland. The project also includes the construction of a truck waiting area to the South of Vaalimaa, which is close to the border with Russia, along with the upgrade of some existing roads. The total contract length is approximately 20 years.
The procuring authority for the project is the Finnish Transport Agency. Operis were pleased to undertake a model audit of the financial model for the consortium comprised of YIT and Meridiam, which included a review of the model’s tax and accounting.
