Viridor Waste Management have submitted their bid for the Cheshire Waste PFI project, tendered by the councils of Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester.
The project involves the construction of a mechanical biological treatment plant to produce refuse derived fuel from Cheshire’s 250-300,000 tonnes of annual residual waste, with a three year construction period followed by 25 years of operations.
