Viridor Waste Management have submitted their bid for the South West Devon Waste PFI project on 3 November 2011, tendered by the councils of Plymouth City Council, Torbay Council and Devon County Council.
The proposed waste treatment facility will have the capacity to process 180,000 tonnes of muncipal waste per annum, and will serve a population of around 500,000. The length of concession is twenty nine years, which includes three years of construction.
