Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Partners (BBIP) has agreed to acquire Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) from Integrys Energy Group, at a purchase price of around USD 300m. UPPCO is a regulated electricity utility, serving over 52,000 customers in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval, though is expected to be finalised during 2014.
