Ayrshire and Arran’s new acute mental health and community hospital project, based in Irvine, Scotland, reached financial close on June 19, 2014.

Following a successful bid, Balfour Beatty will design, build, finance and maintain the project’s new £47 million hospital which will consist of approximately 200 beds, clinical support and ICT infrastructure.

The project, which is funded by Nord LB, will run under a non-profit distributing  model which is an alternative to the UK’s PFI which caps the profits made by the private sector.

To support Balfour Beatty’s winning bid, Operis are pleased to have provided both a full model audit at financial close as well as a high level review at bid stage.
