ABC Schools Group, a consortium comprising Hochtief, Concert Infrastructure, Clark Builders, Turner Construction, Stantec Consulting, Ainsworth, Investec and CIBC, reached financial close for the Alberta Schools Alternative Procurement Wave 3 Project on 18 September 2012.
The project involves the design, build and financing of 12 new schools located within the Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Medicine Hat regions of Canada. All of these news schools are to be completed by September 2014.
This is the third stage of the Alberta Schools programme, with Operis previously appointed by Hochtief in its similar successful passage to financial close during Wave II.
Operis provided financial model auditing services including checking tax and accounting to advise for the project.
