Introduction to Project Finance Course
Friday, 1st September 2006
In conjunction with Infra-News, Operis is delighted to add this informative seminar as part of its Spring programme.
This course sets out to demystify the jargon and provide an appreciation of the commercial issues of a project finance transaction. The content builds an understanding
of what the key drivers of a successful deal are and how the associated financial
model works. We will explore the relationship between capital expenditure and operating costs, along with the key issues for debt and equity funders and other parties contributing towards a project.
It will be of benefit for anyone involved in a project finance contract - including
accountants, legal and technical consultants and finance professionals - who need
to understand the financial implications of project finance deals. A basic understanding
of project finance or the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) / Public Private Partnership
(PPP) programmes in the UK would be helpful as a pre-requisite.
On completion, delegates will have gained an appreciation of the process of taking
a project finance transaction through the stages of a bid, right through to financial
close. They will also be aware of the funding structures used in the market.
