Short description of the contract or purchase(s):

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is currently undergoing a major PFI construction project with 2 new state of the art hospitals being built in Wakefield and Pontefract.

The 2 hospitals will be handed to the Trust in 3 phases over the next 2 years and a 13 week commissioning period will follow after each hand over date.

1. Pontefract Hospital - November 2009;

2. Pinderfields Hospital Phase 1 - May 2010;

3. Pinderfields Hospital Phase 2 - December 2010.

As part of this PFI construction the Trust wishes to procure 13 fully functioning ENT rooms - 5 at Pontefract Hospital and 8 at Pinderfields Hospital.

Each room will require cabinetry, IT equipment and medical equipment e.g. Video camera system, touch screen monitor, built in Microscope, suction system, fiber optic system, mirror heaters, headlight supply, switchable hook (or wireless), scope holders, cold light source, kick bin, hand wash basin etc (full specifications, details and timetables will be included in the tender documents).

Expressions of interest are requested from suppliers who can supply and fit both the cabinetry and associated equipment.

This is a PFI contract therefore prospective suppliers will be required to work with Trust personnel, Contractors personnel (including sub contractors) any any other requirements as defined in the project agreement.
