agreement: II.1.5) Short description of the
contract or purchase(s): To design, construct,
finance and operate a new multi-storey car park and operate surface car parks
at Lister Hospital and other Trust sites for East and North Hertfordshire NHS
Trust. The Trust has approved
the Outline Business Case for the scheme and anticipates Strategic Health
Authority approval in September / October 2009. It is anticipated the
design and construction services (design and build) will include the
provision of a new multi-storey car park (providing approximately 700 spaces)
on an existing surface level car park on the Lister Hospital site. The design
and construction services will also include the construction of a new plaza
and main entrance link corridor to link to the existing entrance of the
Hospital. All supporting
infrastructure, external works, landscaping and other associated works will
form part of the design and construction services. The design and
construction services are required to comply with the resolution to grant
outline planning approval for the whole site development at Lister Hospital
which was received on 21 July 2009. The operational services
will include operation of the new multi-storey car park and may include the
existing surface car parking on the Lister Hospital site. The operational
services may also include other surface car parking on the Trust's associated
hospital sites. The Trust is currently considering its options regarding
surface car parking. The Trust will grant a
lease of the premises to the selected bidder for a period to be resolved but
anticipated to be 30 years. II.1.6) Common procurement
