It is anticipated the design and construction services (design and build) will include the provision of a new multi-storey car park (providing approximately 700 spaces) on an existing surface level car park on the Lister Hospital site. The design and construction services will also include the construction of a new plaza and main entrance link corridor to link to the existing entrance of the Hospital.

All supporting infrastructure, external works, landscaping and other associated works will form part of the design and construction services.

The design and construction services are required to comply with the resolution to grant outline planning approval for the whole site development at Lister Hospital which was received on 21 July 2009.

The operational services will include operation of the new multi-storey car park and may include the existing surface car parking on the Lister Hospital site. The operational services may also include other surface car parking on the Trust's associated hospital sites. The Trust is currently considering its options regarding surface car parking.
