Business Eye is a free, impartial information service for businesses in Wales. It is sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government and managed by the Welsh Development Agency.;

It is accessible via a lo-cost phone number 08457 96 97 98 (UK only), or through a network of local centres;

Business Eye is now developing a web-based directory of business support services - the Business Eye Directory of Business Support Services;

This notice is directed at businesses and organisations supplying information, advice or financial support to businesses in Wales, and aims to encourage interest in applying for inclusion in the Directory;

The Directory is a web-based resource of information, advice and financial support available to businesses in Wales. It will include services provided by the public, private and voluntary sectors. Brief information from the Directory will be available generally via www.businesseye.org.uk, whilst detailed information will be available to Business Eye staff and selected partners only;

Businesses or organisations providing any of the following services to businesses in Wales, might be eligible for inclusion in the new Directory of Business Support Services:-

Pre start-up support and advice;

Financial matters;

Human Resources;

Managing a business (General and Specialist Advice);

Innovation, Technology, Research and Development;

Information and Networking;

Including an organisation's information in the Directory of Business Support Services will help it promote its services through the all-Wales Business Eye support network which deals with over 2 000 business enquiries each month, as well as www.businesseye.org.uk which receives over 200 000 hits each month.

Businesses and organisations will be able to apply for inclusion in the Directory of Business Support Services from Spring 2005. If accepted, they will be able to start entering their information immediately afterwards .

Interested parties can keep up to date with developments by going to www.businesseye.org.uk and clicking the grey button asking the question, 'are you a provider of business support services?'.
