Version 3.2 of the Operis Analysis Kit (OAK) available for download

The latest release of OAK consists of a series of improvements to the OAK Compare tool. Not only has the run-time of this operation been substancially reduced, but it will now separately identify deleted cell data, added cell data and modified call data. This will greatly improve the ability to recognise the cell differences between individual worksheets or entire workbooks.

Licensed users can download the software using the link below, and in most cases will not require a new license code.

New users can download the software for a free 30-day trial before a license is required to be purchased.

This improvement again falls in line with the periodic upgrade release plan for OAK.

In more details, the 3.2 upgrade includes:

Spreadsheet Compare Tool - The code for this tool has been re-written in the newer C# language, resulting in a faster time to produce Comparison Report. A number of other more cosmetic changes have been made, including the ability to set colours to reflect certain call difference (new cell data, deleted cell data, modified cell data) and check for upper/lower case cell data changes.

Remove Compare Modifications – As the name suggests, this tool will remove any inserted rows and colours resulting from sheet differences.

Compare Report – The comparison report will now list the cell co-ordinates for the rows OAK has inserted in order to align the spreadsheets.

Check for Updates – OAK will now check the Operis OAK website for a more recent version update and will automatically add it to the list of Excel Add-Ins.

Sundry Tools – This selection has been created to list a number of useful but lesser used tools. Whilst users will be familiar with the Version Details tool, OAK can now be used to remove colour formatting and expose hidden rows and columns.
