  • Winner Announced for €700m A9 Dutch Road

    4 August 2014

A consortium of Heijmans, Ballast Nedam, Fluor and 3i Infrastructure has emerged as the provisional preferred bidder for the upgrade and widening of the A9 motorway in the Netherlands.

Commissioned by the Rijkswaterstaat authority, the €700 million road will run through the Municipality of Amsterdam, between junction Holendrecht and crossing Gaasp. As part of the Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere corridor’s enlargement programme, the upgrade will support population growth and ease existing congestion in the region.

With construction expected to start at the end of 2014 and be completed by 2018, the project also includes a maintenance contract of a further 20 years.

In support of IXAS Zuid-Oost consortium’s bid, Operis undertook a full financial model audit, including a review of the model’s accounting. A refresh of the model audit will also be undertaken for financial close.
