Bid Submission for Hamilton Biosolids Project
Bids for the Hamilton Biosolids Project were submitted on November 15, 2016. The Hamilton Water Division within the Public Works Department at the City of Hamilton intends to select a partner for the design, build, financing, operation, and maintenance of a new 60,0000 wet tonne per year biosolids processing facility at its Woodward Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The new facility will treat biosolids processed by the City’s wastewater treatment system into a more safe and stable product capable of being marketed as a fertiliser or used to generate energy. This innovative approach will assure the city a long-term, sustainable biosolids management program and provide opportunities to explore more innovative technologies.
Operis were pleased to support the Harbour City Solutions consortium, comprised of Bird Capital, Maple Reinders PPP and Synagro Technologies, through its appointment as financial advisor and model auditor.
