A Brighter Future for Students in East Dunbartonshire

The East Dunbartonshire Schools PFI project reached financial close today.


The InspirED Education consortium, a joint venture formed by the shareholders consisting of AMEC Investments together with Innisfree and Laing Investments Management Services was awarded the contract to build six brand new schools in East Dunbartonshire situated on the north side of Glasgow.

The £125 million GBP project will see St Ninian's High School, Bishopbriggs Academy, Turnbull High School all located in Bishopriggs, Bearsden Academy in Bearsden, Douglas Academy in Milngalvie and Kirkintilloch High School in Kirkintilloch completed by the end of 2008.

Operis provided financial model due diligence on behalf of the senior lenders, Barclays and DePfa, and the shareholders.
